What it covers
Tuition, a monthly living stipend, airfare, health insurance and a settling-in allowance for a Masters (and in some years a PhD) in the USA.
Who can apply
Bangladeshi citizens with a strong Bachelors (and often work experience), leadership record and a commitment to return to Bangladesh after the degree. Applications are made through the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka.
How to apply
- Watch the U.S. Embassy Dhaka website for the annual call, usually announced around April–May.
- Prepare a study objective, a personal statement, three recommendation letters and your transcripts.
- Submit the online application before the stated deadline.
- Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in Dhaka.
- Selected candidates take the required tests and are placed at a US university by IIE.
