About this position
The Hu Laboratory at Rutgers Cancer Institute, Rutgers University–New Brunswick invites applications for postdoctoral researchers to join our team investigating fundamental and translational questions in cancer biology. Our research centers on cancer metabolism, tumor microenvironment, tumor immunology, and tumor suppressor signaling. Current projects investigate: 1) the regulation and function of p53 and gain-of-function p53 mutants in cancer; and 2) how tumor suppressors, including p53 and its target genes, regulate cancer metabolism, tumor-immune interactions, and cancer cachexia.

Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Ph.D. with training in molecular biology, cancer biology, and/or cancer immunology and a publication record commensurate with their career stage. We welcome highly motivated scientists who can pursue research independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Experience with mouse models is desirable.
The Hu Lab provides an interdisciplinary environment spanning basic and translational cancer research, with access to approaches including molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, animal models, immune profiling, metabolomics, and bioinformatics. Salary: Starting from $63,480 annually, commensurate with relevant postdoctoral research experience
