About this position
The project primarily aims to increase the number of researchers and academic staff from abroad and to apply their current experience from international science and research teams to support the development of research and development in the Pilsen Region, an effort in which the University of West Bohemia (UWB) plays a crucial part.
Selected staff will provide support to research and teaching teams at UWB in consideration of their respective fields of specialisation. The staff will engage in research and teaching activities to apply their international experience to further promote the quality of said activities at UWB. The performance of scientific work will include, for example, publishing in leading journals, participation in important conferences, engagement in national and international research projects as well as organisation of field-related events at the division (seminars, conferences).
Candidates for positions under Academic Career in Pilsen can be post-doc men and women – researchers within 7 years from earning their Ph.D. or an international equivalent.

- Properly completed doctoral study at a university or college in the Czech Republic or equivalent properly completed study in abroad,
- Demonstrable proficiency in English (not lower than CEFR B2),
- Publishing – no less than 3 major reviewed or impacted publications in the past 5 years,
- Experience with realisation of research and teaching activities from abroad.
Specific Requirements

- A letter of recommendation issued by the division dispatching the candidate including reasons for relevance and candidate’s engagement in the research and teaching activities at that division, including set up of binding outputs that will be achieved during the project support,
- Candidate’s cover letter,

- Copies of qualification documents (Ph.D. diploma or equivalent, document on the earning of other scientific degrees in the case of Senior Professor positions),
- Copies of documents of candidate’s proficiency level of English,
- Full bibliographic details of articles published in impacted journals for the past 5 years (primarily include texts relevant to the position potentially awarded through Academic Career in Pilsen),
- Full bibliographic details of articles published in the proceedings of important conferences (mentioned at WoS or SCOPUS) for the past 5 years relevant to the position potentially awarded through Academic Career in Pilsen,
- List of all international teams where the candidate has participated with a list of projects.
