About this position
The Institute of History at the Faculty of Humanities is offering a W 3 professorship for History of the Middle Ages (Late Middle Ages) (NF Birgit Studt).
This professorship is also suitable for highly qualified early-career researchers.
The future holder of the position should represent German and European history of the late Middle Ages in its full breadth in research and teaching. For the area of responsibility of the chair special consideration is required to be given to the historical auxiliary sciences, whereby digital methods for the development, editing, or presentation of medieval sources in research and teaching should be included.
In addition to broad research and teaching in the B.A., M.A. and teacher education degree programmes at the Institute of History, which also takes global perspectives into account, it is required that the future holder of the position has a willingness to cooperate with the University's Medieval Studies Center (participation in projects with a cultural studies orientation and teaching in the interdisciplinary Master's program in Medieval and Early Modern Studies) and the Digital Humanities Lab.
In all other respects, the conditions for appointment according to § 47 Landeshochschulgesetz apply.
