Job description
The researcher will offer support on the PRISM project, which pretends to deepen our understanding of the relationship between police legitimacy and identity, considering both citizens’ and law enforcement agents’ identities and examining the role of mediating factors such as political ideology, education and social class.
The RA will develop several tasks, mainly quantitative, to support the aforementioned projects.
Main tasks : The main tasks for the researcher will be:
- To clean and analyse aggregate- and individual-level data.
- To support the PI and the research team designing a survey, and survey experiments.
- To support the PI and the research team in liaising with the survey company.
- To support the research team with additional clerical or admin duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field (preference for social sciences).
- High level of fluency in written and spoken English.
- Advanced knowledge of R, and/or Quarto.
- Experience working on surveys, and survey experiments.
- Attention to detail.
Other skills that will be valued
- Proficiency in Catalan and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Experience working on topics related to policing

Group: 3n
Part-time position: The contract is part-time and will be for 17.5 hours per week.
Gross annual salary for a 35h contract is: 33407€ approx, which is a monthly gross salary of 2,447€ euros; for a 17.5h contract: gross annual salary: 16 704€ approx
Job Location: Barcelona, Catalonia.
Type of Contract Indefinite according to the provisions of article 23 bis of the Llei 14/2011, from the 1st of June, of science, technology, and innovation .
The labour contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish Public Health and Social Security System.
The estimated start date is the 1st November 2026. The expected duration of the tasks is 6 months, but it could be extended if both parties agree and there are more tasks to be done.
