About the Opportunity
Job Summary
- The Shansky Lab is seeking a full-time postdoc to conduct National
- Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded behavioral neuroscience research
- investigating sex differences in cortical circuits mediating
- defensive responding. Responsibilities will include rodent colony
- management, stereotaxic surgery, behavior testing, fiber photometry
- protocols and data analysis, brain tissue processing for
- immunohistochemistry, RNAscope, and fluorescent microscopy.
- Depending on the postdoc's career goals, they will be mentored in
- grant- and paper-writing, team management, and public
- speaking.
Minimum Qualifications
- A PhD in neuroscience, psychology, or a related field and at least three years of experience in a rodent neuroscience lab is required
- Skills related to the techniques listed above are preferred

Compensation Grade/Pay Type:
108S
Expected Hiring Range:
$60,315.00 - $85,192.50
- With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend
- on several factors, which may include your education, experience,
- location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay
- comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
