- full-time Postdoctoral Associate to support an interdisciplinary
- research program focused on image-guided navigation for
- neurovascular interventions. The successful candidate will develop
- and evaluate medical robotic systems with artificial intelligence
- capabilities for vascular navigation using catheter and guidewire
- technologies guided by X-ray fluoroscopy and digital subtraction
- angiography (DSA). The candidate will work closely with clinicians,
- engineers, and research collaborators to advance project
- objectives, validate methodologies, achieve project milestones, and
- disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop robotic components and systems for catheter and guidewire shaping and manipulation.
- Design, prototype, and evaluate electromechanical systems for endovascular navigation applications.
- Develop and evaluate artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning approaches for autonomous guidewire shaping and control.
- Design experiments, validation strategies, and quantitative performance metrics for robotic navigation and wire-shaping systems.
- Develop embedded control systems and software for robotic devices and supporting hardware.
- Coordinate research objectives and technical requirements with clinicians, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Integrate information from medical imaging, vascular anatomy, device behavior, and robotic control systems to support system-level navigation development.
- Track progress toward defined project milestones and contribute to technical reports and project updates.
- Prepare manuscripts, presentations, and other scientific materials describing research methods and findings.
- Prepare materials for grant proposal submissions.
- The department of neurosurgery in the Jacobs School is actively
- recruiting for a laboratory technician. This individual will work
- closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) as the laboratory
- technician in the cerebrovascular lab. Job duties include:
- conducting experiments under supervision of professor (animal care
- and surgeries), writing and revising IACUC and IRB protocols,
- ordering lab supplies and maintaining the daily functions of the
- lab), assist undergraduate, graduate and medical students in their
- research (qPCR, RNA-sequencing, cell culture), The University at
- Buffalo (UB) #ubuffalo is one of America's leading public research
