About this course
Banking awareness is the part of the syllabus that is **specific to bank recruitment** — and the part most candidates under-prepare. Mathematics and English are contested by everyone; banking knowledge is where a prepared candidate pulls ahead, because it appears in the MCQ, again in the written paper, and decisively in the viva, where a candidate who cannot define a letter of credit or explain CRR has a visible problem. The material is also **finite**. The institutions, instruments, ratios and acronyms that examinations test are a defined body of knowledge that changes slowly. Six weeks of structured study covers it, and thereafter it needs only updating with sector developments. This course works through the financial system, the central bank, deposits and lending, trade finance, payments and digital banking, risk and compliance, financial inclusion, the capital market and insurance, and the vocabulary that ties them together.
